Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 was the ninth game in the Harry Potter video game series. The entire series consists of eight games.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 was released on October 20, 2011 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo DS and Wii.
The plot of the game is set in the late 1990s and early 2000s, in which the player takes control of Harry Potter during the final days of the first wizarding war. Harry is placed in the custody of Albus Dumbledore, who sends him to Diagon Alley in the care of the Weasley family, so that he can attend classes with his Hogwarts school friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
As the player progresses through the game, they explore several locations such as Hogwarts, King's Cross, Gringotts Bank, Godric's Hollow and Grimmauld Place.
The story of the game consists of four chapters: Godric's Hollow, Grimmauld Place, Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade.
During the game, the player also controls Harry's friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, who are also at Hogwarts for the summer.
The game also features new spells, spells learnt by the player's character in the video game series, Harry Potter. The player learns the Summon Phoenix spell, which is similar to a Summon Imp spell.
The player can also learn the Invisibility Cloak and Levitate.
The Harry Potter video game series includes six main titles, four films, one short film, one television series, four audiobooks and two spin-off titles.
